More About Fisherman's Mark
Since 1980 Fisherman's Mark, a grass roots social service agency located in Lambertville, NJ, has been providing food and resources to its surrounding community. Built on the commitment of advocating positive change and uniting the community within and surrounding Lambertville (they serve residents in 6 counties!), Fisherman's Mark takes care of its community.
What happens when the parent of a six-child household loses their job? This family can turn to Fisherman's Mark for food and resources during the difficult transition into a new job and getting the footing they need. The food pantry Fisherman's Mark runs is located on North Main Street in Lambertville, and serves anyone in need. What makes Fisherman's Mark so wonderful is that they turn no one away.
"Last year we gave out 175,000 pounds of food from our food pantry to residents in need", Linda Meacham, Executive Director of Fisherman's Mark informed us.
Through their (nationally accredited) Lambertville Academy, a year-round early learning center is able to provide families with a wonderful education program. Tuition assistance is available for families in need. With before-school and after-school care for children from 2 thru 13 years old, the academy is able to help parents work hours needed to support their families.
From elderly residents in need to domestic violence cases, to mentally ill residents in need of care; Fisherman's Mark works with their community and with anyone in need toward one common goal: dignity and wellness for all community members.
