Greene Street Mens is now OPEN!

Greene Street has some BIG news. Our first ever store just for men has opened it's doors this past weekend. While we love selling women's clothing for our customers, we know men deserve a little love, too. Our store just for men has an industrial feel with our signature metal and wood fixtures (made in-house) lining the walls and displaying a wide array of menswear.

the shopping experience

The shopping experience is simplified: you come in and browse our sized racks in labeled sections lining the perimeter of the store (there is NO sorting through hours of messy, stuffed racks for the right size). Our accessories are placed throughout the store on display racks and many of them are brand new with tags (store-purchased goods). Brands Greene Street sells range from Men's Gap, Urban Outfitters, J Crew all the way to Burberry, Gucci and Helmut Lang. The major deals on great brands and the lack of sorting and sifting make this a one-stop-shop, in-and-out experience for our shoppers. 

make cash for your clothing

Cashing in your gently worn clothing has never been this easy. You gather your gently worn clothing that is collecting space in your closet, and bring it to Greene Street Men's. Leave the rest up to us! Really, all that you need to do is bring your clothing in, no appointment needed. We take your things, you give us a few minutes with them (we will give you an exact estimate at the time you come in). We let you know what we have accepted, and after you sign a contract with us you're good to go! Just check your email inbox for updates on your contract and a claim date. The claim date is for items that may not have sold within our contract time, and in that case you'll pick them up or choose to donate! It's a simple process that requires little time spent on your end! 

You get paid after your clothing sells. It's that simple.

At the end of your contract you'll receive a check for everything that has sold. This gives cleaning out your closet purpose. In a world where clothing is disposable, make the most of the clothing you've purchased. Choose to recycle it + make some cash while doing so.

Our BIG Bag Sale That You Don't Want To Miss

On Saturday, May 14th, we are having one of our notorious and highly-anticipated Bag Sales. Our typical Bag Sale takes place at our Manayunk store location on a Saturday morning (4313 Main Street, 19127) at about 9am. Our staff at each location spends months gathering and selecting goods from our shops that haven't sold (some goods may be designer with a small stain or pulled thread, leaving them easily repairable but not so sellable). We then stock the entire basement in our Manayunk store with these goods that have accumulated over the months and are ready to find a home. The best part? All that our clients have to do is come on over to our Manayunk store and purchase a $20 Bag. Then we let you loose on our basement floor, free to stuff every single item you can find into your purchased bag (as long as it fits!). Our Bag Sale events have brought out our customers from far and wide to line up at our basement entrance awaiting the 9am open. Tip: Arriving early is smart. You will want to be one of the first customers to dig through the designer goods and get first dibs!

What's different about this upcoming Bag Sale?

May 14th's Bag Sale is BIG. For two good reasons. One of which is that we have not had a BIG Bag Sale in a long time. That means we have the best of the best goods waiting to be shoved into your bag in a frantic manner and taken to their new homes! But seriously, we have a LOT of good stuff. For a ridiculously low price.

Secondly, and most importantly, we are donating $5 of every $20 bag sold to Cradles to Crayons

Cradles to Crayons is a non-profit organization who greatly assists in meeting the critical need of providing low-income and homeless children in Philadelphia with the supplies and clothing they need to have a happy and successful life.

"According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Philadelphia has the highest poverty rate among the nation’s ten largest cities. Nearly one in four Philadelphians, including 130,000 children, live in poverty"

Cradles to Crayons has built a beautiful model of engaging and connecting families that have with families that need. Supporting children from birth up until the age of 12 and providing everything from diapers, bottles and blankets to a warm coat and backpack for school, they are an organization who deserves all of the help they can get.
