Princeton Takeover!

Are you a fan of Greene Street?  Maybe just one Greene Street?  After all, odds are you probably have one local GS that you frequent.  But haven't you ever taken a look at our Instagram account and thought, "Oh wow, Princeton gets some really beautiful pieces.  I should take a trip out there!"  But what if you don't find something (not likely) or you're not sure of what else is around that you could do after your trip to Nassau Street?  Well, luckily, the Princeton crew took over our Instagram to show you why their town is a destination.

Let's start with the best part of Princeton, Greene Street!  We're located at 162 Nassau Street.  And the real kicker - this location is 2 stories!  That alone is worth a day trip!

Princeton has one of the largest men's sections of any Greene Street!

Banana Republic shirt, size M, $16.95 and Kenneth Cole vest, size S, $22.95.  Stop by and get styled by the chicest girls!

Get everything from Tory Burch to Schuler and Sons!  You'll find something for everyone.  Size 8, $110.95 and size 40, $48.95.

OK, so now that you were at Greene Street right when the doors opened, and you shopped your heart out - you have a whole new wardrobe and you have all of the information about consigning.  Where else do you go while you're in Princeton?

Whether you're a music lover or not, you'll definitely want to hit up the Princeton Record Exchange for some amazing deals.  Then stroll the lovely campus of Princeton University.  The architecture is just stunning.  Brush up on your history by checking out Albert Einstein's house.  The genius lived here from 1936-1955.  Starting to get tired?  Check out Small World Cafe - it certainly keeps our staff fueled!  Ane before heading home, have some peace and quiet at Lake Carnegie.

We hope you enjoyed spending the day in Princeton!  Keep checking Instagram @shopgreenestreet for more in town exclusives!

Get The Scoop on a New Greene Street!

As you all of have noticed over the past week, we moved our West Chester store.  For 5 years we had made a home in the neighborhood on W Market Street.  Then an opportunity presented itself for something bigger and better.  A luscious space opened up just a block over on W Gay Street.  We jumped at the chance - a bigger space can only benefit our customers and consignors!  We at Greene Street feel that the move will allow us to be more well known in the community.  And the more well known that we become, the more we can continue to help the community.  Basically, more floor space and more general traffic = more clothing recycled.  What could possibly be better?

Last Wednesday, June 24 our headquarters crew headed down to make the switch.

So we said goodbye to one of our favorite Instagram buddies and began to pack up!

Oh the possibilities!

We began to attract a lot of attention as we moved racks upon racks of clothing.  A nice little preview for our new neighbors!

As soon as we hung our new sign, customers kept coming in to inquire who we were and see what we have to offer.

It took 8 hours, but we got everything up and running!

And although we said goodbye to our graffiti man, when I ventured into the new basement, I was greeted by this odd photo.

The Chamber of Commerce, joined by mayor Carolyn Comitta, and Fig welcomed us with warm arms and a ribbon cutting ceremony today, July 1st.  It was so much fun!

It's not an official ribbon cutting without the regulation sized scissors!

Even our ribbon was green!

It's been a very busy week for our West Chester team.  Our headquarters crew though, well, we get to do it all over again when we open our new store in Wayne, PA - coming this Fall!
